If you feel like your wallet has been shrinking while prices rise — you’re not alone.
Kenya’s current tax regime is broken. Citizens are taxed on everything from their income to their fuel, housing, and even airtime. While large corporations enjoy loopholes and foreign advisors dictate policy, it’s the ordinary Kenyan who pays the price — literally.
Wanjeri and the Labour Reformist Party are calling for a complete overhaul of the tax system:
- Scrap the housing levy
- Reduce unfair deductions
- Simplify the tax code
- Empower local enterprise without overburdening them
We believe taxation should serve development, not drown the people in debt. It’s time the mwananchi got a break.
